THE CREW

DJ Palapa Mac

Founder & Host, The 5 O’Clock Somewhere Happy Hour (Fridays 4–8 PM CST)

Jeremy McMillan — better known on the airwaves as DJ Palapa Mac — is the founder, soul, and signature sound of Palapa Mac Radio.

With over 35 years on the job as a Houston Firefighter and EMT, Jeremy knows what it means to work hard and wind down. Raised in a music-loving family, he grew up surrounded by instruments, rhythm, and the joy that comes from sharing a good tune with good people. That love of music never left — it just needed a palm-frond-covered home to grow in.

What started as a hobby station in his backyard under his palapa has become a full-on destination for coastal dreamers, boaters, beach lovers, and anyone chasing that “5 o’clock somewhere” feeling. Today, Palapa Mac Radio is streaming 24/7 with Jeremy’s Friday show — The 5 O’Clock Somewhere Happy Hour — serving as the official kickoff to the weekend. His energetic voice, fun-loving spirit, and knack for making listeners feel like old friends bring the perfect vibe to every Friday afternoon.

For Jeremy, this isn’t just a radio station — it’s a community. A place where people from all over the map come together to relax, connect, and escape. Because at the end of the day, it’s not just about the music. It’s about the feeling you get when you hear it.

"Parasail Dave" Hearne

 Director of Business Development

"Parasail Dave" brings the fun — and the follow-through. With decades of experience running a successful watersports business and a natural gift for connecting people, Dave helps brands tap into the Palapa Mac audience in ways that drive real results.

Whether he’s closing a sponsorship deal or introducing two clients who go on to collaborate, Dave is always thinking one step ahead. He sees listeners, advertisers, and partners as part of one like-minded community — and he’s constantly looking for ways to help everyone grow together.

A Southern California native turned proud Texan, Dave’s roots in the beach lifestyle run deep. From jet skis and surfboards to concerts and coastlines, he’s lived the laid-back spirit we celebrate. That energy fuels his approach to business — relaxed, but always focused on helping your brand ride the wave of success.

Scotty Chill

Host, Island Vibes (Thursdays 6–8 PM CST)

DJ Scotty Chill brings the Island Vibes every Thursday night — a two-hour dose of laid-back energy, perfect for kicking off your long weekend mindset a little early.

True to his name, Scotty’s all about creating a smooth, easy-going space where you can relax, unwind, and let the stress roll out with the tide. His voice is warm, welcoming, and familiar — like hearing a friend call you over to grab a drink and take in the sunset.

Listeners love tuning in not just for the music, but for the mood. Scotty sets the tone with an easy rhythm that fits right in with your deck nights, tiki lights, or just dreaming of your next beach escape. Whether you’re catching the show live or playing it back in the background, Island Vibes always feels like a well-earned breather.

At Palapa Mac Radio, we’re all about bringing good people together through music and lifestyle — and Scotty Chill fits that mission like flip-flops on sand.

"Capt. Paul"

Host, Tropically Hip (Saturdays 12–4 PM CST)

Captain Paul brings a global spin to the Palapa Mac Radio lineup with his Saturday show, Tropically Hip with Capt. Paul. Broadcasting live from a different location almost every week — from Long Beach to San Juan — Paul delivers sunshine, rhythm, and that unmistakable island ease wherever he lands.

By day, he’s a commercial airline pilot and a professional voice artist. And on Saturdays, he’s the one guiding you through four hours of laid-back sounds and vacation-state-of-mind vibes. His smooth delivery, seasoned presence, and jet-setting energy bring something special to the airwaves — the feeling that you’re already there.

Listeners tune in to Tropically Hip for that sun-kissed soundtrack to their weekend, but they stay for Paul’s charisma and coast-to-coast charm. Whether you’re docked at the marina, flipping burgers in the backyard, or just daydreaming of your next escape, Paul makes every Saturday feel like a quick trip to paradise.

At Palapa Mac Radio, we’re about more than just music — we’re about transporting you to your happy place. Captain Paul? He’s already cleared you for takeoff.

Mitch Miller

Event Support Manager

Mitch Miller is the guy who shows up early, stays late, and makes sure everything behind the scenes runs smooth. Whether he’s helping unload gear, setting up the broadcast tent, manning the merch table, or keeping things on schedule during a live broadcast, Mitch plays a big role in bringing Palapa Mac Radio to life — especially at events.

He’s not on the mic and doesn’t run the soundboard, but make no mistake — Mitch is essential. When you see the Palapa Mac tent up and running, the crew working in sync, and listeners vibing with the scene, Mitch has had a hand in it.

An avid Jeeper and lover of the laid-back lifestyle, Mitch lives the brand in more ways than one. It was under the palapa in DJ Palapa Mac’s own backyard — beers in hand, Classic Rock playing — where Mitch helped inspire a key part of the station’s signature sound. His influence added just the right dose of rock-and-roll spirit to the tropical mix you hear today.

Dependable, upbeat, and always down to help, Mitch doesn’t just support the Palapa Mac mission — he’s part of its DNA.
